5 ways to increase revenue through your Reservit account

Reservit revenue management

Reservit is a powerful hotel management platform, but most properties use only a fraction of its revenue-generating potential. Here are five immediately actionable steps Reservit users can take to increase occupancy and average daily rate (ADR).

1. Audit your Reservit rate plan structure

Most Reservit properties accumulate rate plans over time without ever rationalising them. Log in to your Reservit account and navigate to the rate plan manager. Count how many active rate plans you have. If you have more than 15 plans for a property with under 50 rooms, you almost certainly have overlapping, redundant, or contradictory rates visible to OTAs.

Too many rate plans create confusion for both the Reservit system and booking engines. Consolidate to a core set: BAR (Best Available Rate), Advance Purchase (14-day, 21-day), Non-refundable, and category-specific plans (AAA, corporate). Each rate plan should have a clear purpose and a clear pricing differential. Remove everything else.

Cleaner rate plan structures in Reservit have been associated with higher conversion rates on connected booking engines, as guests face fewer competing offers and the cheapest rate is more clearly identifiable.

2. Enable all available channels in Reservit channel manager

Reservit's built-in channel manager includes connections to the major OTAs, but properties often leave multiple available channels disconnected. Log in to your Reservit account and check the channel list under Distribution β†’ Channel Manager. Compare the available channel list to your currently active channels.

Any channel that generates even 5 bookings per month at your property's average ADR is worth activating if the Reservit connection is already included in your plan. The marginal cost of an additional Reservit channel is effectively zero β€” the connection is maintained by Reservit.

For channels beyond Reservit's standard list, third-party OTA connector modules (such as the ReserveWithIt OTA Connector Pro) can extend your distribution to niche channels β€” wellness aggregators, bleisure platforms, GDS sub-channels β€” that are not included in the base Reservit channel manager.

3. Use Reservit's restriction tools to manage minimum stay

Minimum stay restrictions are one of the simplest revenue management tools available in Reservit, yet most properties leave them at the default (no minimum stay) year-round. In your Reservit account, navigate to the restriction manager and map out your demand calendar for the next 90 days.

For confirmed high-demand dates (local events, school holidays, peak season weekends), apply a 2-night minimum stay restriction in Reservit. This prevents short-stay bookings that block higher-value multi-night reservations arriving later. The Reservit restriction manager allows date-specific rules, so you can apply these surgically without affecting shoulder dates.

For automated minimum stay and pricing rules, the ReserveWithIt Smart Pricing module monitors live occupancy in your Reservit account and applies pre-configured rules automatically β€” without requiring manual intervention each week.

4. Analyse your pickup report in Reservit

The pickup report in Reservit shows how many reservations were made on each booking date for each arrival date. This is one of the most valuable reports in the Reservit analytics suite and is available at no additional cost within your Reservit subscription.

Access it via Reports β†’ Reservation Analysis β†’ Pickup Report in your Reservit account. Set the comparison period to the same dates last year. Look for booking pace differences: are guests booking earlier or later than last year? Are you tracking ahead or behind pace for peak dates?

Booking pace intelligence is the foundation of any revenue management strategy. Reservit's native pickup report gives you this data for free β€” most properties never look at it. If you want more granular pickup analysis β€” cross-period comparisons, channel-by-channel pickup, ADR-weighted pickup β€” the ReserveWithIt Reporting Plus module extends native Reservit reporting with custom dashboard capabilities.

5. Set up post-stay review request automation

Review velocity (the rate at which you receive new reviews) is a direct ranking factor on Booking.com and TripAdvisor. Properties that consistently request reviews after each stay outperform those that rely on spontaneous review behaviour by a factor of 3–5x in review volume.

Reservit supports post-stay email triggers via its built-in email template system. In your Reservit account, navigate to Communications β†’ Email Templates β†’ Post-stay. Create a post-stay template that fires 24 hours after checkout and includes a direct review link for your top 2 review platforms. Keep the request short and direct β€” a single sentence asking for a review performs better than a detailed multi-paragraph email.

For more sophisticated post-stay automation β€” including win-back campaigns, multi-segment sequences, and opt-out management β€” the ReserveWithIt Email Automation module provides pre-configured flows triggered directly by Reservit reservation status changes.
