Lesson 1: Getting started with ReserveWithIt

1.1 Accessing your ReserveWithIt account

After completing your first purchase, you received an email from ReserveWithIt with a link to create your account. If you cannot find this email, go to the account access page and enter your purchase email address — a new access link will be sent immediately.

ReserveWithIt uses email-based access links rather than passwords. Each link is valid for 30 minutes and grants access to your account dashboard. Access links are delivered to your registered email address. Keep your email inbox secure, as access to your email address is equivalent to access to your ReserveWithIt account.

1.2 Dashboard orientation

On first login, the dashboard shows your active modules, connection status and billing summary. The main navigation provides access to: Modules (list of active subscriptions and their status), Settings (Reservit API credentials, billing details), Reports (usage reports per module), and Billing (invoices and payment history).

1.3 Connecting your Reservit API credentials

Navigate to Settings → Connected Reservit Account. Enter your Reservit API key and API endpoint URL. If you haven't yet retrieved these from your Reservit account, follow the step-by-step Reservit access guide before continuing.

Click "Test connection". ReserveWithIt will make a test call to the Reservit API and confirm your property name, active rate plans and permission scope. If the test fails, check: (a) the API key is copied in full with no trailing spaces; (b) the endpoint URL is correct; (c) the API key has the required permission scopes.

1.4 Activating your first module

Navigate to Modules → [Module name] → Activate. For each module, you will be prompted to complete module-specific configuration before the module goes live. This typically takes 5–15 minutes. The module status changes to "Active" on successful configuration. You will see the first data sync occur within 15 minutes of activation.

1.5 Checking module status

The Modules dashboard shows the last successful sync time for each active module. A green indicator means the module is connected and syncing normally with your Reservit account. A yellow indicator means the last sync completed with warnings (details available in the log). A red indicator means the module has lost connectivity to Reservit — check your API credentials in Settings.
